What started as a small chicken shop in a busy bylane of Borivali, a suburb of Mumbai has transformed today into a formidable poultry processing company – Sethwala Foods Ltd. The dream was conceived by the very enterprising Sethwala brothers whose commitment to service, quality and strong industry relationships have been the cornerstone for the company’s remarkable growth story. Operating from the store in Borivali, the idea of setting up a processing plant came by when we were dismissed as distributors of a leading poultry company as they were consolidating their distribution network. We thought that would be the end of our operations but in fact it was just the beginning
Soon after that setback, the Sethwala brothers started building relations as chicken traders with all the leading poultry companies in Mumbai. Hard work and perseverance earned them not just a huge clientele in the HoReCa (Hotels, Restaurants & Catering) segment in Mumbai but also gave them the courage to envision the next phase – a poultry processing plant.
