The history of JCI dates back to 1964 when the only player of chicory in Jamnagar, Gujarat was brooke Bond. We made a humble beginning by cultivating our first crop of chicory and trading it. Soon, we entered into a 3 years contract with Polson Ltd (“DEER” brand fame) for roasted chicory powder in 1966. The contract served to be a milestone in the history of our company. From 1966 till 1971, we made sincere and continuous efforts to keep our market share on an upward trend by joining hands with coffee blenders of South India. Our efforts got noticed with Nestle becoming our first prestigious customer in 1971. Later we also bagged orders for Brooke Bond of Hindustan Lever, now Unilever.
